Quick Juice Questions

30:23   What do you look for in a land development investment, and why?

“Our first obvious question is location — we look at the area, we look at the other types of housing in the area.”

31:07   Where should someone start if they are new to property?

“Get involved in your local property circuit. Read some books. Attend some free training courses. See what type of things you like.”

31:44   What most inspires you? When and where are you most inspired?

“I love travel and everything from top of the ski slope to the beach.

I tend to not be very good with switching off, so I like to do things where there’s an element of activity.”

32:15   Which book has inspired you and changed your thinking the most?

“There’s a couple of books that spring to mind that I’ve read in the last 12 months.

One was actually an audiobook. […] A book called Can’t Hurt Me. That was something very different to something I’d normally pick up, but his whole story and his mental strength […] made quite a lasting impact on me.

The second one is a book called Never Split the Difference by a guy called Chris Voss.”

34:08   If there’s one last bit of Executive Juice you can share for people who want to get to the top of their property game, what would it be?

“Start with something that you are passionate about.”

Quotes:

  • What I have struggled with since working for myself is prioritizing the right things and stop doing the interesting things.
